Parking at Sanchez can be a pain, so to lend parents a hand the PTA is helping staff the drop-off line. The entire white zone in front of the school is for both bus and car drop off for students. Here's how it works:
Starting at 7:30 am, you can drive north on Sanchez Street from the corner of 17th. There'll be a line of cones at the front of the school.
Pull inside the marked off lane and pull all the way forward.
Stop the vehicle and allow children to exit. DRIVER MUST REMAIN IN VEHICLE
Volunteers will be wearing yellow vests and will help children safely enter the school.
Exit the Student Drop Off zone. NO U TURNS
The line runs until the bell rings at 7:50 am.
If this sounds like something you're able to help with, sign up to volunteer! It's a great way to lend a hand and make mornings easier for everyone. Email info@sanchezelementarypta.org to get started.
Do you want to get more involved in your child’s class? The Sanchez PTA is hoping to start a new Room Parent program this year. Room Parents are like teammates who help teachers make the classroom a great place for learning.
Here's how you can help:
Snack Time! Work with other parents to create a snack schedule that keeps the class fueled up for learning.
Field Trip Fun! Help ensure there are enough adults to chaperone exciting field trips.
Classroom Helpers! Lend a hand with projects and ideas the teacher has to make learning even more enjoyable.
